📱News - Samsung unveiled its latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, at their Unpacked 2024 event this Wednesday. These new models bring even more Galaxy AI features, using their unique design to offer some interesting new experiences.

☕Here's what's new -

  • Gemini app: Google Gemini is now the default assistant on Samsung's foldable models.

  • Galaxy AI in PDFs: Samsung has integrated Galaxy AI into PDF files within the Notes app. This feature enables text translation and overlay directly in PDFs, supporting text within images and graphs.

  • Note Assist: Samsung's native note-taking app now includes a transcript feature. This allows for transcription, translation, and summarization of voice recordings right within the app, alongside existing Galaxy AI features like translation, summaries, and auto-formatting.

  • Composer: A tool within the Notes app for generating text based on keywords. It supports both long-form text like emails and short-form text like social media taglines, with options to set the tone of the text.

  • Sketch to Image: Galaxy AI can now generate images from rough sketches, available on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with S Pen support and on the Flip for drawing on existing images to create new ones.

  • Portrait Studio: New creative options for portrait images, including built-in styles like 3D cartoon and watercolor effects.

  • Interpreter: Upgraded to fit the foldable device's unique form factor, with new features like conversation mode for real-time translation during conversations and listening mode for one-way translation during lectures or presentations.

  • Circle to Search: Enhanced with live translate and homework features. Live translate translates text on screen from multiple languages, while homework helps solve math problems.

  • Live Translate: Expanded beyond Samsung's native calling app to popular third-party apps.

Preorders for both phones are currently open, with shipping scheduled to begin on July 24th.

Key Points

  • According to AWS, you simply have to describe the program you want, and the tool will write the code for you.

  • App Studio uses various models like Amazon Titan and Anthropic, running on Amazon Bedrock, depending on the specific job requirements.

👨🏻‍💻News - Amazon Web Services (AWS) has released a new tool called App Studio, which it claims can help you create an enterprise software application from a written prompt. According to AWS, you simply have to describe the program you want, and the tool will write the code for you.

👥Who is it for? App Studio is designed for IT professionals, data engineers, enterprise architects, and product managers who have technical expertise but lack coding skills. It aims to help these employees build enterprise-grade applications, such as inventory-tracking systems or claims approval processes, by describing what they need and specifying the data sources.

🤓Here's the step-by-step -

  1. Start by entering the application's name and specifying the data sources.

  2. Describe the application you want to build. While the system offers sample prompts, you can also provide a custom description.

  3. The system generates a list of application requirements based on your description.

  4. You can refine these requirements by interacting with the generative AI tool, similar to other no-code platforms.

  5. Once the application design is finalized, it undergoes testing within a mini DevOps pipeline before being ready for production.

  6. For enterprise-level needs such as identity management, security, and compliance, you can integrate App Studio with existing systems during setup. When the application is deployed, AWS manages all backend processes based on the information provided by the administrator.

App Studio is now in preview for anyone interested. Also note, it uses various models like Amazon Titan and Anthropic, running on Amazon Bedrock, depending on the specific job requirements.
