✨News - Runway has officially launched Frames, its newest text-to-image generation model, designed to create highly cinematic visuals. 

First announced in November 2024, Frames was initially tested by select ambassadors and power users in the Runway Creators Program. Starting today, it’s available to everyone through Runway’s Unlimited and Enterprise subscription plans.  

🕵️‍♂️What makes it unique?  Frames allows users to generate still images and, with one click, turn them into videos using Runway’s tools like Gen-3 Alpha Turbo. What truly sets it apart is its advanced stylistic control and ability to maintain visual consistency—features that make it ideal for industries like art direction, editorial work, and brand development.  

Unlike earlier models that often felt unpredictable, Frames enables users to design worlds with specific aesthetics and reliably produce variations that stick to their chosen style. It also includes a library of 19 preset visual styles that can be customized further, giving users even more creative flexibility.  

Runway has also outlined plans for future updates, promising more style tools and controls to make this an even more powerful tool for creators.

♨️News - Cognition has rolled out Devin 1.2, a significant update that enhances the AI engineer's ability to handle entire development projects. This new version introduces several improvements, expanding the scope of tasks Devin can assist with.

🤓What's new? The standout upgrade is Devin's improved ability to reason within a code repository. This means the AI can now better understand the structure and content of a repository, making it more effective at identifying relevant files, recognizing existing code patterns, and suggesting edits or creating pull requests with greater accuracy. This improvement is expected to speed up workflows and reduce the mental load for developers who would otherwise spend time searching for files or fixing inconsistent code. 

Another notable update is the introduction of voice commands via Slack. Users can now tag Devin, record a voice message, and provide task instructions. Devin will then process these commands and carry out the actions, streamlining interactions and eliminating the need for typing out detailed prompts.
