The new sites are still being finalized, with states like Texas, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Wyoming in the mix.
This expansion pushes OpenAIās total planned capacity to more than 5 gigawatts.

Alibaba launches Qwen3 coder to compete in global AI race

āNews ā Alibaba has introduced Qwen3-Coder, a new open-source AI model designed for software development. The company says it's their most advanced coding tool so far, launched at a time when the global race to build stronger AI models is heating up.
šØāš»Fast facts ā
Qwen3-Coder supports code generation and complex programming workflows.
It is designed to handle "agentic AI" tasks, where the model takes on coding challenges on its own.

The model is open source and available to developers.
