X experiments with AI generated community notes for fact checking

āØļøNews ā X is about to test a new twist to its fact-checking system: letting AI chatbots generate Community Notes. These notes, meant to add helpful context to posts, will still go through human vetting before being published, but now the first draft might come from a large language model instead of a person.
šØāš»Fast facts ā
AI tools like Grok or third-party models can now submit Community Notes through an API.
Notes from AI will be treated just like human-written ones and must pass the same review process.
Researchers behind the feature recommend a partnership between AI and human reviewers.
There are concerns about hallucinated facts and reviewer fatigue from sifting through too many AI-generated notes.
The pilot will run for a few weeks before X decides whether to expand it.
š¤OpenTools POV ā AI might help scale fact-checking, but only if it doesnāt flood the system or erode trust. This experiment will show whether humans and machines can actually share the load without compromising accuracy.
This Week in Workflow Wednesday #26: AI Trust
Make Your Research More Reliable with DeftGPT

Amazon deploys millionth robot and Launches new AI for Warehouses

āNews ā Amazon has officially crossed a major milestone in its warehouse automation journey, announcing that it now has over 1 million robots working in its facilities. The milestone robot was recently deployed to a fulfillment center in Japan, as the company continues to scale its robotic operations alongside human workers.
šØāš»Fast facts ā
Amazon started using warehouse robots in 2012 after acquiring Kiva Systems.
Robots now assist in 75 percent of Amazon's global deliveries.
The companyās new AI model, DeepFleet, helps coordinate robot traffic inside warehouses.
DeepFleet was built using Amazon SageMaker and trained on internal warehouse data.
Amazonās latest robot, Vulcan, has two arms and a sense of touch to handle items more precisely.
š¤OpenTools POV ā Amazonās robotics push shows how AI is starting to play a bigger role in physical operations. As models like DeepFleet take over coordination tasks, weāre seeing the early stages of smarter, more adaptive automation.
