Microsoft relaunches Copilot for business with free AI chat and customizable agents

👨🏻‍💻News - Microsoft is relaunching its free AI-powered business chat tool as Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, now with AI agents built right into the chat experience. This relaunch brings some big updates, aiming to make workplace AI tools even more accessible.

🤓What to expect - If you’ve used Bing Chat Enterprise before, this will feel familiar—it’s essentially a rebrand with a twist. The biggest change? You now get access to Copilot AI agents directly in the chat. These agents act like digital coworkers, helping with tasks like managing your inbox or automating workflows.

You’ll be able to create and customize these agents through Copilot Studio. They can pull in data from the web or work files through Microsoft Graph. Pricing is flexible, too, with options like Azure’s Copilot Studio meter or pay-as-you-go.

The chat experience itself hasn’t changed much. It still runs on GPT-4o and lets you upload files to summarize Word documents or analyze Excel data.

🤔Is it the better option though? “It’s free and secure AI chat that’s GPT-powered,” says Jared Spataro, Microsoft’s CMO for AI. “It’s very comparable to the competition—maybe even better.” With useful features and no cost to start, it’s a strong contender in the AI workplace game.

Nvidia backs Taiwan’s MetAI in push for next-gen industrial AI

🧐What is MetAI? MetAI specializes in AI-powered digital twins designed for advanced semiconductor fabs, smart warehouses, and automation systems. It generates synthetic data within AI-powered digital twin environments. 

The startup’s key innovation is its ability to quickly produce “SimReady” digital twins by converting CAD files into functional 3D environments in just minutes.
