♨️News – Meta has introduced a new feature called “Vibes” in the Meta AI app and on meta.ai. The feed is designed for sharing short AI-generated videos, positioning itself as a direct competitor to TikTok and Instagram Reels, but with machine-made content at the center.
👨💻Fast facts –
Users can create videos from scratch or remix ones already in the feed.
Videos can be shared to Vibes, sent via DM, or cross-posted to Instagram and Facebook.
Early partnerships include Midjourney and Black Forest Labs as Meta builds its own models.
Recommendations will become personalized as people interact with content.
Initial responses from users have been critical, with many dismissing the feature as unnecessary.
🤓Open Tools POV – Meta is pushing deeper into AI-driven content at a time when users are voicing fatigue with low-value AI material. This move raises questions about whether the company is listening to its audience or simply chasing scale.
