☕News – Microsoft is testing a new way to cool the chips powering its AI data centers. The company is experimenting with microfluidics, a method that runs liquid through tiny channels inside processors, which could make data centers more efficient and allow chips to run faster.
👨💻Fast facts –
Cooling fluid can be applied directly at temperatures up to 70C.
Tested on both server chips and GPUs for AI workloads.
Allows short bursts of overclocking during demand spikes, like Teams meetings.
