Today we will discuss:

Yesterday, we posted Workflow Wednesday #23: AI Ethics

Here’s a sample:

How to Build a Legit AI Ethics Policy Using ChatGPT

Yes, it can be official. Yes, it can hold up under scrutiny.

Most AI startups skip the ethics conversation entirely - or toss together a vague ā€œvaluesā€ page that sounds like it was ghostwritten by an intern with ChatGPT and a deadline. The irony? The teams shipping the most powerful tech right now are the ones who can least afford to be loose about it.

What You’ll Need

  • GPT-4

  • A rough idea of how your company uses AI

  • Optional: PDFs of enterprise-level AI policies (Microsoft, Salesforce, etc.)

  • 20 minutes of focused work

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: ā€˜Prime ChatGPT with Context’

Start with this system prompt (screenshot it, trust me):

Key Points

  • Users can personalize the assistant’s tone and build shortcut ā€œSkillsā€ to automate tasks directly within the browser.

  • Dia replaces Arc with a more accessible AI-focused browser designed to fit into users’ existing work habits.

šŸ‘Øā€šŸ’»News - The Browser Company is moving on from Arc, the web browser it launched for power users and design enthusiasts.

While Arc had a loyal following, the team admitted it was too complicated for most people to adopt at scale. Instead of trying to tweak it further, the company decided to start fresh. The result is Dia, a new browser now in invite-only beta that puts AI at the center of the browsing experience.

šŸ¤”How so? According to CEO Josh Miller, users are already relying on tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity for day-to-day tasks. Dia is designed to meet them where they are. Instead of requiring users to visit separate sites to access AI tools, the browser brings those capabilities directly into the interface they’re already working in.

The URL bar now doubles as an AI assistant that can search, summarize files, answer questions about your open tabs, and even draft content based on what you’re viewing.

šŸ˜€What's more? Dia is built on Chromium, so it looks familiar, but its features are more advanced. Users can customize the chatbot’s tone and writing style just by asking. There's also an optional History setting that lets the browser use the past seven days of activity as context.

A feature called Skills allows users to create small code-based shortcuts for tasks like generating distraction-free reading layouts.

šŸ¤“Why this matters - Other browsers like Opera and Chrome are adding AI features too, but Dia is designed around AI from the start. It’s now rolling out to all existing Arc users, who can also send invites to others.

Key Points

  • V-JEPA 2 helps AI agents make predictions about physical actions, similar to how humans develop basic intuition.

  • Trained on over a million hours of video, the model can predict what happens next in everyday scenarios.

  • Meta claims the model is 30 times faster than Nvidia’s Cosmos, though benchmark comparisons may vary.

šŸ¤–News - Meta has unveiled V-JEPA 2, an upgraded version of its world model AI that’s designed to help machines understand how the world around them works.

It builds on last year’s V-JEPA, which was trained on over a million hours of video to help AI learn how physical objects interact over time. The goal is to give AI the kind of basic intuition humans and animals develop early in life. For example, a dog chasing a ball knows to run where the ball will land, not where it is right now.

V-JEPA 2 applies this kind of predictive thinking to machines. In one demo, an AI agent holding a spatula and a plate near a stove recognizes that the next likely step is to move eggs from the pan to the plate.

🦾How it compares - Meta claims V-JEPA 2 is 30 times faster than Nvidia’s Cosmos, another model designed to boost physical reasoning. It’s worth noting that each company may be using different benchmarks to measure performance.

šŸ‘¾Why it matters - According to Meta’s chief AI scientist Yann LeCun, these types of models could power the next generation of real-world AI agents. They may eventually help with household tasks without requiring massive amounts of hands-on training data.
