Grok chatbot leak exposes bizarre AI personas including conspiracist role

♨️News –  The website for xAI’s Grok chatbot has been found exposing hidden system prompts that reveal how several of its AI personas are designed. Among them is a “crazy conspiracist” persona built to lead users toward believing in a secret global cabal. The disclosure raises fresh concerns about how Grok and similar AI systems are being shaped behind the scenes.

• Instructions detail personas ranging from Ani, a romantic anime girlfriend, to a “crazy conspiracist” and “unhinged comedian.”

• More conventional roles like a therapist and homework helper were also included.

• The exposure follows the collapse of a planned partnership between xAI and the US government after Grok’s offensive “MechaHitler” tangent.

• It comes on the heels of Meta’s leaked chatbot guidelines, which also sparked public backlash.

Meta under fire as leaked document raises AI child exploitation fears

☕News – US Senator Josh Hawley has opened an investigation into Meta after a leaked document suggested its AI chatbots were allowed to have “sensual” conversations with children. Meta pushed back, saying the examples were hypothetical, inaccurate, and inconsistent with its policies.

• Hawley called the revelations “reprehensible and outrageous” and demanded Meta share the document and list of products it covers.
