āØļøNews ā Google has introduced Gemini 2.5 Computer Use, a new AI model that can browse and interact with websites the same way people do. Instead of using APIs, the model relies on visual reasoning to understand whatās on the screen and complete tasks like filling out forms or navigating menus.
šØāš»Fast facts ā
Gemini 2.5 can perform 13 browser-based actions such as typing, clicking, and dragging elements.
Itās available to developers through Google AI Studio and Vertex AI, with demos on Browserbase.
The model focuses on browser interaction only and doesnāt control desktop environments.
It builds on earlier Google projects like AI Mode and Project Mariner that explored agentic browsing.
The release comes just a day after OpenAI launched new ChatGPT apps and follows Anthropicās own ācomputer useā update last year.
š¤Open Tools POV ā Google is leaning into a more grounded approach to agentic AI, focusing on whatās already familiar to usersāthe browser. Itās a clear signal that the next wave of competition will play out inside the web, not beyond it.

āNews ā A wave of massive deals and partnerships is raising concerns that the trillion-dollar AI boom may be fueled more by interconnected business arrangements than by proven profits. OpenAI recently signed a multibillion-dollar deal with AMD, just weeks after Nvidia committed $100 billion in a partnership with the startup. Analysts warn these circular relationships are creating complex financial dependencies that ripple across the AI industry, from cloud providers to chipmakers.
šØāš»Fast facts ā
OpenAI has deals with Nvidia, AMD, Oracle, and CoreWeave totaling potentially over $1 trillion.
Oracleās cloud business shows narrow profit margins, fueling questions about returns on these investments.
Nvidia has invested in dozens of AI startups and agreed to buy excess cloud capacity to support partners.
Analysts note the dealsā circular nature resembles patterns from the dot-com era.
š¤Open Tools POV ā The scale and interconnectedness of these deals highlight the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure but also signal heightened market risks. Observers should watch whether these investments drive real growth or simply sustain a self-reinforcing AI bubble.
Nvidia to invest in Muskās xAI as part of US$20 billion funding // Nvidia is investing as much as US$2 billion in the equity portion of the deal, sources say
Anthropic lands its biggest enterprise deployment ever with Deloitte deal // Deloitte is rolling out Anthropicās Claude to more than 470,000 employees across 150 countries
Mattel partners with OpenAI on Sora 2 AI video model // To test the ChatGPT maker's artificial-intelligence video model Sora 2, OpenqAI CEO Sam Altman said
