AWS to launch AI agent marketplace with Anthropic as key partner

☕News –  Amazon Web Services is launching a dedicated AI agent marketplace next week, with Anthropic as one of its first partners. The launch is expected to be announced at the AWS Summit in New York on July 15, giving developers a new way to distribute and monetize their AI agents. 

👨‍💻Fast facts –

• The marketplace will let enterprise customers browse, install, and pay for AI agents in one place.

• Startups can list agents built on their own models or APIs, including Anthropic’s.

• Amazon will take a small cut from each sale.

• Anthropic, already backed by Amazon, recently crossed $3 billion in annualized revenue.

• Similar marketplaces have been launched by Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.

🤓OpenTools POV –  AWS is making a clear move to centralize AI agent distribution, which could shift the power dynamic toward independent developers. If it gains traction, it might push the whole ecosystem toward more open and accessible tools.
