OpenAI Is Paying For The Power Now
⚡️ YOUR MOVE
📢 What else is happening?
Anthropic pointed Claude at something it has never been allowed to touch.
OpenAI spent the day making promises to people who just voted against it.

WHAT HAPPENED
Anthropic opened a personal finance beta inside Claude. Subscribers on the paid plans in the United States can link their bank and card accounts through Plaid. Claude can then read up to two years of transactions, along with balances and credit limits. It cannot move money, manage it or invest it, and Anthropic says the conversations are not used to train its models.
WHY IT MATTERS
Personal finance apps spent a decade laying pipes into your accounts so they could sell you something at the other end. Anthropic has taken the pipes and left the selling out. That quietly turns the most profitable corner of consumer fintech into a feature of a chat subscription.
OUR TAKE
The obvious read is that this is a convenience feature, a nicer way to ask where the month went. We think it is a distribution play, and the giveaway is the open invitation to banks and wealth managers to help shape what comes next. Read-only is not modesty. It is the version nobody can object to while the rails get built.
From Our Partner:
A CRM so smart, it updates itself.
HubSpot's CRM is so smart, it now updates itself. Calls get logged and summarized the moment they end. New leads get researched and a first outreach drafted, automatically. Deals move forward on their own, with next steps flagged before you have to ask.
Even the one repetitive task you've been meaning to fix can now run itself, no code required. Customers using it are already seeing the difference.
This isn't the CRM you have to work hard to figure out. It's the one already working before you log in.
The ballot boxes moved first. The paperwork followed.
OpenAI has published a community compact and a policy blueprint for the sites it owns and runs. It promises to cover the full electricity cost of those sites and the grid work they need, to publish how much water and power each one uses, and to stop signing non-disclosure agreements with public officials. At one planned campus in Georgia the local utility can pull up to 1,000 megawatts back off it when demand peaks.
⚡️ YOUR MOVE
FOUR THINGS WORTH DOING BEFORE MONDAY.
🧩 A Postman update wrote itself into Claude Code and Codex on some Macs, switching on a plugin and a startup hook nobody approved. The company is reverting it, but anything already installed stays put. → Check your config
🎞️ ChatGPT Images 2.6 turns a prompt or a photo into a looping GIF, lets you redo single frames, and keeps a library of reference images so you stop uploading the same faces. → Make one on repeat
📱 DigitalOcean put agent supervision on a phone. You watch a run stream in, read the actual command or diff, then approve it or kill it from wherever you are. → Put it in your pocket
🔐 Anthropic gave security teams a settings check for Claude at work, plus hooks that push prompts and tool calls through your own tooling before anything runs. → Audit your setup

A Humanoid Robot Maker Just Went Public: the first of its kind on a US exchange, and its revenue for the first half of this year is the number to read twice.
Meta Bought The Tool That Herds Coding Agents: the team goes to Meta's superintelligence lab, and everyone using the cloud version has about two weeks to get their data out.
China's Biggest Memory Maker Pulled Its Own Listing: a staff memo blamed various factors, on an offering that was lined up to be one of Asia's largest this year.
Redis Wants To Be Your Agent's Memory: six new pieces shipped at once, including one built so an agent can forget things on purpose.
🛠️ Top AI Tools This Week
Cursor: the editor that writes alongside you, so the side project stops being a weekend you never get.
Recraft: on-brand illustrations and icons on demand, without booking a designer for every single asset.
MurfAI: turn a script into a clean voiceover in minutes, in a voice that does not sound like a robot reading.
supermemory: give your assistant a memory that sticks, so you stop re-explaining your own context every session.
Two companies spent the day buying trust. One wants to read your statements. The other wants a county to believe the power bill is covered.
The market spent the same day deciding what all of it is actually worth.
Access is the product now. Everything else is marketing.
