♨️News – Anthropic has launched a research preview of its new browser-based AI agent, Claude for Chrome. The tool is available to 1,000 users on its Max plan, priced at $100 to $200 per month, with a waitlist open for others. It allows users to chat with Claude in a browser side window and, with permission, perform certain actions on their behalf.
👨💻Fast facts –
Available through a Chrome extension to selected Max subscribers.
Users can grant Claude permission to complete browser tasks.
Part of a growing push for AI-powered browsers from Perplexity, OpenAI, and Google.
Launch coincides with Google’s ongoing antitrust case that could impact Chrome’s future.
Anthropic says it reduced prompt-injection attack success rates to 11.2 percent.

☕News – After going on a high-profile hiring spree to poach top AI talent from rivals, Meta’s new Superintelligence Labs is already seeing people walk away. Several researchers who joined just weeks ago have now left, with some returning to OpenAI, and a senior AI leader is also moving there.
👨💻Fast facts –
Multiple researchers exited the lab shortly after joining, including some who returned to OpenAI.
A senior leader in generative AI at Meta is also moving to OpenAI.
The departures come despite Meta offering extremely high compensation packages to attract top talent.
Meta has been reorganizing its AI groups and recently signed a partnership with Midjourney to focus on AI video research.
The exits add to ongoing reports of internal challenges and slowed hiring momentum at Meta’s AI division.
🤓OpenTools POV – The early churn underscores how difficult it is for Meta to hold onto top AI talent. OpenAI remains the stronger draw, raising questions about how quickly Meta can advance its superintelligence ambitions.
